West Mead Township Road Department vaccums and picks up leaves during the fall of each year, usually beginning in mid October and continuing until the snow begins to fall or as long as the weather is good. After you rake your leaves out to the edge of the roadway, contact the Township Office at 814-336-1271 or by email at westmead@westmead.org and provide your name and address so you are put on the list for pickup. You can also bag your leaves at any time for pickup.
Residents living on the South Side of the Township (South of Route 27) are normally scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of each week.
Residents living on the North Side of the Township (North of Route 27) are normally scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday of each week.
Please do not rake your leaves in the ditches or pile them around driveway pipes or mailboxes.
