What items can be recycled?

Recycling bins are no longer available at the West Mead Township building for items including newspapers, standard office paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum and standard metals cans, glass bottles and certain plastics.  For any questions contact the Township Office at 814-336-1271 or by calling the Crawford County Solid Waste Authority at 814-333-7366 or at www.countyrecycling.com.

What are the stormwater regulations in the Township?

There are stormwater restrictions in the Township depending on your project size.  Contact Zoning Officer at 1150 Morgan Village Road, Meadville, PA 16335 or 814-336-1271 or at westmead@westmead.org. You can view the West Mead Township Stormwater Ordinance at Ordinance No 2011 Stormwater Ordinance.

Who do I call about police-related non-emergencies?

Contact the West Mead Township Police Department at 814-336-1005 to leave a message for any officer. Be advised that officers are not always available and may not return your call immediately. You should contact County Control by calling 911 for any emergency or to report an incident or complaint.
